    We take the Brenner Pass and enjoy an exhilarating drive through the Alps to Italy.     We drive through Umbria to the Renaissance city of Florence in Tuscany. Here we enjoy spectacular views of the city from Piazzale Michelangelo before having time to visit Piazza Signoria, the Duomo and Giotto's Bell Tower, or to shop for high quality leather goods and 18-carat gold jewellery before continuing to our hotel.     First we cross through the Apennines to the great northern plain and pass by the city of Milan. Then we head north to the Swiss border passing stunning Lake Como before taking the scenic Gotthard route to Lake Lucerne. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
